INDIA: THE CIVILIZATION

Civilization is formed by coordinated interaction between people and a culture of harmonious social coexistence. It gives rise to morality, culture, spirituality and tradition, as also the social institutions like market, firms and schools, but all of them are preceded by family, which is the first social unit developed by humans for a bit of everything plus procreation. The last of such institutions is the State to which authority is delegated for the common good of people.

Here we look at how civilization evolved in India, and how different social institutions like market, state and politics evolve and interact to decide the destiny of its people. We also look at the philosophical inheritance of India called Dharma, and the tradition, culture, history and practices of India to understand the oldest known civilization in human history.
